MALE, July 1 (HNS) -- Maldivian film star Sajna Ahmed and four other
girls were convicted Tuesday for engaging in lesbian sex while in jail.
The Criminal Court also sentenced the five convicts for nine months of house arrest. They were each given 10 lashes on Tuesday.
The five convicts were all in jail on drug charges.
Jail wardens discovered the five engaged in lesbian sex, the Criminal Court said.
